| Details | The whole Hurst community takes over South Avenue Recreation Ground to come together to enjoy a full programme of free entertainment, good food, drink, crafts, local art and music. South Avenue Recreation Ground will b e filled with stalls, theatre, a fully stocked bar and live music and family entertainment.The Bell ringers from Holy Trinity Church and Burgess Hill Youth Marching Band will start off the proceedings with displays at 1pm. There will be free workshops and inflatables for the children to play on. The entertainment will include the amazing Silly Science Show, offering fun filled family entertainment followed by exciting hands-on Silly Science Workshops! Silly Science will deliver hands-on SLIME workshops straight after the show – Children from 4-16 years old can literally get stuck-in making molecular silly putty slime to take home! Other Workshops include dance workshops from Create Space Studios, Zoe Thompson will be teaching dancing with people of all ages and having a fun and creative time using storytelling and sparking imaginations. Hurstpierpoint Gymnastics Club will display some of their talented gymnasts and acrobats. The gymnasts will show some of the winning routines from the most recent competitions. Plus, Live Music from local band Breeze In. Breeze In are a local band who love rock, pop, funk and soul from just about every decade since the '50s – they play a mix of covers and their own material with the emphasis very much on making sure everyone is having as much fun as they are! Added to these locals will be a smorgasbord of independent traders of all kinds including lots of food stalls including Ice Cream, Donuts and plenty of hot food with Vegan and Gluten free options, charity stalls and craft, clothes and book stalls and Face Painting from the Garden Spa. Remember on Super Sunday the Hurst Festival Bar on the Recreation Ground pays for all the free entertainment on the day so please support our bar.
